Hello listners,

Due to technical difficulties and scheduling issues, this week we have a classic  episode of the Hotroom Podcast. This show was the first show of the new year taped on Jan 6 2009 at the Hotroom Studio. In this episode we reflect on 2008 and the beginning of the collapse of several prominent banks that ended up being bailed out by the US government, as well as a plunging financial market.

With hope we look forward with a new President that represents change and hopefully a  new way of looking at old problem that the outgoing administration has not been able to  effectively correct. We touch on the presidential transition and what the incoming  administration faces.

In tech news we touch on the iphone and other phones and the state of phone applications. We question if they are useful devices or just devices designed to keep a certain part of the society engaged. We talk about Facebook and how John simply just can’t seem to get it, and other social networks.

So feel free to give us a  listen and try out our picks as well as contact us here on the website at john@needtooknow.org or any of our other panelists at their email addresses.
